Organizations I Feel Affinity With
Many of these have links within them to great articles, as well as links to other lovely organizations. Generally, I have tried to keep the organizations listed global in scope. Often the listed organizations can put you in contact with more local groups. For example, the International Vegetarian Union can put you in touch with the Toronto Vegetarian Association or the Vegetarian Society of Hawaii, both of which I am a member.
